
Ruth Yeo-Peterman, MA, LMHC
Ruth Yeo-Peterman, MA, LMHC (she/her) is a mother, licensed counselor, trainer, consultant, actor, and expressive arts facilitator whose work is rooted in the transformative power of creativity, awe, and resilience. Ruth has worked across diverse international settings and contexts including refugee and immigrant care, diversion and rehabilitation, youth development, restorative justice and peacemaking, education and prevention, trauma-informed organizational capacity building, and community-based mental health with children, youth, older adults, and families. For seven years, Ruth served as Vice President of Program Development and Training with a nonprofit specializing in arts-based tools for sustainable psychosocial support, where she championed the use of expressive arts for individual and collective well-being. She is a U.S. trainer and consultant for the Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute and ACHIEVE Center for Leadership, and works with a global non profit on resilience and capacity-building initiatives with civil society organizations and human rights defenders in exile. She is a lifelong student in the school of wonder, imagination, and creative expression for opening spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, with one another, and with what is possible.
