Phyllis Shulman

Phyllis Shulman is a skilled facilitator, organizational developer, and policy advisor with over 35 years of experience. She is a regional and national thought leader on issues concerning sustainability, food systems, climate change, economic development, and emergency preparedness. She has led and implemented transformative programs in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. As an organizational alchemist, Phyllis has created new initiatives including the Resilient City Strategy and Seattle’s Local Food Action Initiative. Since 2014, she has led and facilitated projects at The William D. Ruckelshaus Center, a joint effort of Washington State University and the University of Washington. She strives to apply her creativity and systems thinking to social innovations that regenerate the wellbeing of people and the Earth.
