“The body says what words cannot.”

Martha Graham

If your body could speak, what stories would it tell?

Storytelling is primary to human existence and each of us has a unique story. The way we express our stories informs how we live our stories.
Movement is primary to human existence. When we move our stories, we understand them through a different lens than what our thoughts tell us. Trying to change our thoughts by thinking about them can lead us into an endless spiral.

This collaboration between Marta Mulholland, expressive arts practitioner and performing artist, and Jules LeDrew, herbalist and mind/body educator, will weave together the powers of human and plant wisdom for a deeper exploration of our individual and collective stories.

Take a chance on yourself and give yourself permission for your story to change.

Shift the shape of your story and shift your life.

During these two days we will explore individual and collective story through movement, drawing, writing, and discussion. We will take what is in our heads and move it in our bodies, shaping and reshaping our stories. We will learn about different medicinal plants that can help support us as we strive for change in our daily lives.

  • Learn about the ways you move in your life. The different parts of our bodies can guide us in our exploration. What are your legs and feet taking you away from or leading you towards? What are your arms and hands letting go of or holding onto?
  • Unearth your creative expression through movement, writing, art, and reconnection to the language of nature through medicinal plants.
  • Explore ways to let go of stories that no longer serve you and new resources for embracing stories that empower you.
  • Develop the postures of who you want to become.
  • Gather plant allies that can support you in your transformational process.
  • Bring your curiosity and courage to change.
