Join Michelle and Rashid for a Restorative Summer Retreat at the Whidbey Institute

Many of us are being called to find places of refuge and create space for more rest in our lives. We are moving through, have weathered, and are weathering so much as we traverse tumultuous times, uncertainty, and grief, face heartbreak, and as we try to create and be beacons of hope. The Rest and Refuge Retreat is an opportunity for us to practice deep rest, restore our spirits, and remember our points and places of refuge. During this retreat, we will engage in mindfulness and yogic practices such as meditation, yoga nidra, pranayama, and self-reflection to move us into a place of peace, wakefulness, and harmony.

In this retreat, you will experience:

  • Multiple learning sessions with Rashid and Michelle
  • Yoga Asana
  • Meditation
  • Pranayama
  • Self-study and reflection
  • A fire ceremony (conditions permitting)
  • Practice with elemental energy–air, fire, water, earth, the above and below
  • Time to commune with nature and the elements
  • Guided nature walks
  • Community building and time for relational resonance and connections with other retreat participants
  • Quiet time and space for contemplation
  • And more!
