Hosted by Whidbey Institute Forest Steward Larry Rohan

10 – 11:30am

Join forest steward Larry Rohan, longtime resident of the Maxwelton watershed, on a forest meditation walk through the forest of the Whidbey Institute.

This morning’s gathering will be a walking meditation, using the  breath and other senses to connect with  and remember our relationship to the natural world.

Please wear plenty of warm clothing. We will be moving slowly, and it will likely be cool and wet.

Please leave your dogs and other pets at home.

We will begin the walk from Storyhouse meadow.

During our walk, we will be exploring the forest near Storyhouse, which is a part of the Legacy Forest, a 30 acre vibrant woodland protected by Conservation Easement, and administered by the Whidbey Camano Land Trust.

We will proceed at a comfortable pace, and through a series of guided invitations, engage our senses to assist the body in remembering the deep connection we have with all life on this planet.

The entire walk is expected to take about 90 minutes and will end back at Storyhouse meadow.

RSVP to help us track our guest count and receive detailed arrival instructions.
